CCA Driver privacy policy

This policy explains how Colonial Chemicals Australia Pty Ltd (CCA) handles information through CCA Driver, its iPhone app for authorised drivers. Accounts and assigned work are managed by the CCA office.

Information used by the app

The app uses your driver name and account identifier to sign you in and display assigned work. Work records can include customer and recipient names, delivery addresses and contact details, run and vehicle details, quantities, notes, delivery issues, signatures and delivery photos you choose to provide.

Your sign-in name and PIN are sent over an encrypted connection to the CCA authentication service. The PIN is not retained by the app. Session credentials are held in the iPhone Keychain, accessible while the device is unlocked, and are not included in work records.

How information is used

CCA uses this information to allocate and carry out deliveries, record delivery outcomes, produce manifests and proof-of-delivery documents, support drivers, maintain business records and protect access to its systems. CCA's hosting and authentication services may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and error or security logs, to operate and secure the service.

Camera, photos and signatures

Camera and photo access are optional and used when you choose to attach delivery evidence. Selected photos and signatures become part of the relevant work record. The app does not automatically upload your photo library or save captured photos to it. Customer restrictions on delivery photos continue to apply. Avoid including unrelated people or private information in delivery evidence.

Location and advertising

CCA Driver does not request your phone's location or track its GPS position. Delivery addresses are work records. Choosing directions opens Apple Maps, which has its own privacy controls. CCA Driver does not contain advertising or use data for tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

Who can access information

Work records are available to authorised CCA staff and the relevant business users. Proof-of-delivery information may be shared with the relevant customer as part of CCA's normal delivery process. CCA uses service providers for hosting, authentication, file storage and business operations; information may be processed outside Australia. Access in the app remains subject to the account's permissions and assigned work.

Device storage and retention

The app can retain assigned-work data and unsent drafts on the device to help you recover from an interrupted connection. Sign-out clears the account's local work data after warning about unsent work. Temporary PDFs are removed when their viewer closes or the app restarts. CCA retains submitted business records for its operational and applicable record-keeping requirements; deleting the app or signing out does not delete those records.

Your choices and requests

You can change camera and photo access in iPhone Settings. Contact the CCA office if your account needs to be disabled, a work record needs correction, or you want to request access to or deletion of personal information. Some business records may need to be retained. The app does not provide public account registration.
